Find Bailey County Release Dates

A Bailey County projected release date answers when a sentenced person may leave custody, but it is not proof that release occurred. The right lookup depends on the custody system. A pretrial Bailey County detainee usually has no computed date because bond and court action control the outcome. A sentenced state prisoner may have projected, maximum, parole-eligibility, and scheduled fields in the corrections record. This Bailey County release date lookup explains how to find those dates, why they change, and which record confirms when someone was actually released.

Bailey County Projected vs Actual

TDCJ defines a projected release date as the date its Classification and Records Office calculates for leaving incarceration if parole does not occur sooner. Offense date, offense type, mandatory-supervision eligibility, sentence data, and credits all affect it. A parole-eligibility date only marks when consideration may begin. A maximum sentence date is the calculated endpoint. A scheduled release date appears only when release has entered the schedule, along with a type and location.

None is the completed event. The actual date belongs in a release certificate, jail register, booking-out record, or other final agency record. A pretrial Bailey County Jail detainee has no fixed sentence-based date. Bond, dismissal, a court order, transfer, or later sentencing controls what happens.

Scheduled is not actual. Confirm with the holding agency before travel and obtain the finished record after the event.

Find Bailey County Release Dates

First identify the custodian. Bailey County Jail and TDCJ are different systems. A transfer from the jail to state prison is not community release, and a county-only detainee normally will not appear in the state search.

  1. For current TDCJ custody, search by TDCJ number, SID number, or exact last name plus a first initial.
  2. Match the person by county, cause number, age, and identifiers.
  3. Open the detail for Projected Release Date, Maximum Sentence Date, Parole Eligibility Date, and any Scheduled Release block.
  4. For a Bailey County sentence, ask the jail and proper court clerk for the judgment, time-served credit, order, and existing release record.
  5. If the former prisoner disappears online, request the actual release date, type, certificate, and discharge date from TDCJ.

Bailey County TDCJ Date Fields

The search results show name, TDCJ number, race, gender, projected release date, unit, and age. The detail adds SID number, maximum sentence date, parole eligibility, and current facility. Its scheduled block gives date, type, and location only after scheduling. Offense history lists offense date, sentence date, county, case number, and sentence length, which helps route a Bailey County conviction back to the right court.

TDCJ says the system updates on working days and is at least 24 hours old. Location and schedule facts can change quickly. A positive result supports current TDCJ confinement as of the data time. A negative result may reflect release, a name mismatch, lag, county custody, or another authority.

TDCJ’s official projected-date definition explains the calculation’s legal branches.

Bailey County Release Good Time

Texas Government Code Section 498.003 makes good-conduct time a privilege used for parole or mandatory-supervision eligibility. It does not otherwise shorten the sentence term. Classification controls accrual. A trusty or Class I inmate may earn 20 days per 30 days served, with limited extra credit for a trusty; Class II may earn 10; Class III accrues none while in that class. Discipline and classification changes can affect credits.

Texas has no general rule requiring every state prisoner to serve 85 percent. The ordinary parole formula in Government Code Chapter 508 generally uses calendar time plus good time equal to one-quarter of the sentence or 15 years, whichever is less. Certain aggravated offenses generally require actual calendar time equal to one-half of the sentence or 30 years, with a two-year floor. Eligibility only permits review. It does not order release.

For mandatory-supervision-eligible offenses before September 1996, TDCJ may project the point when flat time plus earned good time equals the sentence. Later eligible offenses also require Board approval. Ineligible offenses project to maximum expiration unless parole occurs first. Individual calculations require the judgment, offense date, and current statute.

Why Bailey County Release Dates Move

A forecast changes when the facts used by TDCJ change. Review and Release Processing checks the release plan, residence, programs, discipline, special conditions, and detainers before a certificate issues.

FactorPossible effect
Credit or classification changeChanges an eligibility calculation
DisciplineMay reduce or forfeit credit
Parole decisionMay permit earlier release or set a later review
Mandatory-supervision decisionApproval may move the date earlier; denial may move it to maximum expiration
Detainer or holdMay change destination or prevent community release
Court or sentence correctionChanges the source data
Program or release planCan delay scheduling after approval

A favorable Board vote is not the walk-out date. Required programs, an approved plan, a detainer, or later review can intervene. TDCJ’s three-member panel process also means parole eligibility should never be described as a promise.

Bailey County Jail Date Channel

Bailey County publishes no online roster or release-date calculator. For a county detainee, call the jail, identify the court order, and request existing records. Ask for booking date, custody-status history, date and time the person left Bailey County custody, release reason, releasing authority, and transfer destination if any. The jail should not be asked to create a sentence calculation.

Texas Local Schedule PS makes the county jail register permanent and requires a release or transfer date. That durable record is important after a person disappears from a notification portal. Court records can explain the legal authority, while only the jail record proves when the physical booking-out process occurred.

Bailey County Mandatory Supervision Dates

Mandatory supervision is not the same as parole, even though both place a released person under TDCJ supervision. Its projected date depends on offense date and legal eligibility. For an eligible offense committed before September 1, 1996, TDCJ describes the projected date as the point when calendar time plus good time equals the sentence if parole has not occurred. For a later eligible offense, the Board must also approve discretionary mandatory supervision.

If the Board denies that later release, TDCJ may recalculate the projection to maximum expiration. A later approval can move the date forward again so release processing can begin. For an offense excluded from mandatory supervision, the projected date generally aligns with maximum expiration unless discretionary parole happens first. This is why two sentences of the same length can display different dates.

Government Code Chapter 508 contains eligibility rules and exclusions. A public page cannot calculate an individual result without the judgment, offense date, sentence sequence, credit status, and current agency interpretation. Use the displayed TDCJ field as a forecast, then ask Classification and Records about errors or missing sentence data.

Bailey County Parole Release Timing

Parole eligibility marks the earliest legal review point under the governing formula. It does not mean the Board will grant release on that date. Texas parole review uses a file process, not a formal public hearing for the inmate. The individual detail may show review status, last decision, and next review date while the person remains confined.

After an approval, TDCJ analysts still review the proposed residence, county-of-residence rules, special conditions, program completion, disciplinary matters, and detainers. A release location can differ from the current unit. Family members planning an imminent pickup should call the unit before traveling because the online record is not real time.

A denial or serve-all decision can move expectations toward a later review or maximum sentence date. Consecutive sentences and offense-specific rules may also change the calculation. Record the Board code, projected date, scheduled date, and source date separately. Combining them into one “release date” hides the very distinctions needed to explain a change.

Request Bailey County Release Date Records

When online fields no longer answer the question, TDCJ accepts Public Information Act requests by online form, email, mail, or hand delivery. Give the full name and TDCJ or SID number. If those are unknown, add the exact birth date and county or cause information. Ask for the actual release date, release type, certificate, discharge date, and releasable incarceration history for the sentence at issue.

For Bailey County Jail, direct a written request to the Sheriff at 405 West 2nd Street in Muleshoe and verify the current submission route by calling 806-272-4268. Request electronic copies and an advance cost estimate. Texas law requires a prompt response within a reasonable time but does not promise production in ten business days. Protected law-enforcement, juvenile, medical, or personal data may be withheld or redacted.

Read Bailey County Release Dates

Record the label beside each date. “Projected,” “maximum,” “parole eligible,” and “scheduled” cannot be swapped. Also record the source’s update warning and the date viewed. If a scheduled block says the person is not scheduled, do not invent a type or location from the projected field.

Match the offense-history county and case number before connecting a TDCJ profile to Bailey County. A similar name is not enough. When the sentence involves several counties or consecutive terms, the displayed calculation may reflect more than the local case. The proper court record and TDCJ Classification and Records can resolve that difference.

Confirm Bailey County Actual Release

After a TDCJ profile disappears, use the agency’s free email-information route or Classification and Records for time and release questions. A formal Public Information Act request can ask for the actual release date, type, release certificate, discharge date, and releasable history. Include full name and TDCJ or SID number, or enough birth and case data to prevent a mismatch.

TDCJ IVSS may report prison, parole, or mandatory-supervision changes. County IVSS is a different system. Alerts help track an event, but the final record remains the sound source. For a pending notification, follow the Bailey County VINE inmate check, preserve its exact wording, and confirm whether the event was release or transfer.
